Live, from the Netherlands: the Amsterdam diaries! Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday I’ll update you on my latest adventures. I warn you: they will either make you jealous or bore you to death. Whatever they do, you’ll know what I’m up to So, let’s begin, shall we?
My first day at Marie Claire was really hectic. I received truckloads of emails, responded to the most important ones and then I finally wrote a piece for tomorrow. I’m planning on making my own calendar and leaving my mark on the MC website. It’s kind of what I need to do so that’s kind of big, don’t you think? Plus, I get to work with WordPress which is awesome! My blog runs on it as well so I know my way around it. As you can see in the third picture, I made a piece about sportswear, which will be online tomorrow, yaaay.
Oh yes, I was wearing clothes today. Even though my boyfriend and dad thought I’d packed way too many, I really haven’t. I mean, even if I did, I’m doing my internship at a fashion magazine… I need those clothes! Today, I opted for my sister’s comfy Monki pants with my Zara leopard booties, my khaki T by Alexander Wang and my mom’s vintage blazer. Riding on a bike was also something I did today. I think the Dutchies noticed that I’m the clumsy type when it comes to bikes but I’ll be a pro when I leave here, mark my words!
As for food, I ate some soup with my sandswiches at work and in the afternoon we received these delicious little Kiehl’s cupcakes from our beauty editor Maroesja. I was suprised because they’re were insanely good (not a real cupcake lover speaking now). Preparing dinner – read: putting it in the microwave – was actually the biggest adventure of today. I’m going to spare you the details and just say: it was good after all.
That’s it for today folks, see you on Thursday ^^ And meanwhile: check out my Instagram for more updates!
