Palladium: from the sky to the concrete

Don’t you just love the story behind a brand? How they’ve started and turned out to be? I can’t get enough of those kind of stories and I’ve got one for you today! Palladium, founded back in 1920, started off as tire making company for the aviation industry. I’m not an expert in rubber and all that jazz but apparently, Palladium was quite good at making tires and before they knew it, most of the European aircrafts were using their tires.
But what’s with the shoes, you might ask? Well, World War II came to an end - thank god – and the demand for tires obviously decreased. The masterminds behind Palladium opened a factory in France to start producing footwear that were as strong as their tires. Suddenly, the Pampa boot came to the world. Used by the French Foreign Legion at first, worn by cool people today. From waterproof canvas boots to classy leather oxfords. You name it, they got it. Even coolio Pharrell Williams designed a collection for the brand (see picture 4). The Billionaire Boys Club consists of two models: the Baggy roll down and the Pampa Hi model, both in a camouflage print. I can’t wait to open up my shoebox and find out which babies I’ll get to wear this winter. I’m already preparing some outfits in my mind!
