Label crush: Senso

Whoever dares to say Australia and fashion don’t go hand in hand, is definitely wrong. I’ve discovered tons of amazing Aussie brands through Instagram and I think y’all know this one by now. I couldn’t help but share my favourite pieces with you though. Sydney based footwear brand Senso is taking over the world (and my little shopping heart). Aimee Song, Andy Torres en Julie Sarinana… we all follow these big and inspiring bloggers and good thing we do! I’ve discovered Senso through one of them and I can’t help but check out the website every once in a while to see what’s new. Really happy ASOS stocks the brand too! I’m still deciding on what pair I want to add to my shoe closet though…

No, a trip to London Fashion Week wasn’t holding me from blogging for four days, a birthday celebration, last minute packing and saying goodbye was. I did squeeze in some LFW time to watch Rihanna‘s collection for River Island which will hit the (online) stores on March 5th. Riri didn’t go for any inventive designs but she opted for comfortable, grungy and feminine clothing. Just what Dr. Afrodite ordered. My favorites? The ‘mechanic suit’, the We found love outfit, the What’s my name outfit and those boots! Oh and actually also some of the tie-dye pieces, the flower print pants and a few of the red pieces.

Can’t wait to see the collection in real life and hopefully buy some of them. Now I gotta go, I still have to pack my shoes! Meanwhile, you can rewatch the show here!

New in my bag: Secrid Wallet

secrid, wallet, portefeuille, minipasjes, RFID, Radio Frequency IDentification, Marianne van Sasse van IJsselt, made in holland, René van Geer, ov-chipkaart,

I may not have the golden one but I do have my fair share of other cards in my little COS pouch. Since it’s not a real wallet, all of those *important* cards move as I move and get scratches on the chip. But no more of that since I got my very own Secrid wallet! My cards stay protected in a croco mini wallet which I always proudly show to my friends (look at this – opens secrid – bam, magic trick).

This Made in Holland product was designed by René and Marianne and already won a design award. Since every piece of paper turns into a plastic chip card, there had to be a wallet to protect every one of them. Not only do the cards stay intact, the wallet also stops fraude! How, you may ask? Well, here’s something I didn’t even know: Oyster or OV chip cards are RFIDs (Radio Frequency IDentification), which basically means people can detect them and copy them from a distance. Secrid took care of this problem by blocking the fraudulent radio waves with the aluminium case. So, it’s not only pretty, it’s quite useful as well.
