A weekend away in your own country? It’s possible! Just book a room in The Hotel in the center of Brussels and you’ll feel like you’re far far away already. That’s what I did… The Hotel, formerly known as a Hilton hotel, was just what the doctor ordered. A fancy design room, an amazing view over Boulevard de Waterloo and some fashion books - and a sweet bf – to accompany me.

I like what they did with the rooms because back in the days, the Hilton was quite corny. Today, the rooms are black & white and it’s just one big space. The bathroom mirror is movable and there’s only one bathroom door for both the shower and the toilet. It does not only sound fancy… It actually is! You have a cute and cozy corner to read books or finish off some work on your laptop before taking a hot rain shower with some Bigelow products. There’s everything you need in the drawers: a hair dryer, a vanity kit and even a mending kit.

After you’re fully dressed and put some make-up on, you can head over to The Lounge for a panoramic view over some free drinks and snacks. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay because not only is the room beautiful and neat, the location is just perfect!

Hairdressers, I never liked them! I’ve had the worst experiences so far… but that was until I met Vincenza, or as I like to call her: Enza. She had worked as a hairdresser a few years and then started out her own salon. First it was kind of tiny, in between her bedroom and her bathroom but she managed. She’s the one who gave me my magnificent ombre coupe which most of you loved so much.

Time flew by, Enza became a mother of a cute little daughter Gill and then she moved a few houses down the street. A house so big and beautiful, it had the perfect space for her own salon. This is not your everyday hairdresser, you see, at Enza’s it’s really intimate as if you’re just chilling at home. The space is beautiful, there is always good music playing in the background and of course, Enza is good in what she does. If you’re looking for a new hairdresser, Enza’s salon is definitely the place to be! I convinced blogger buddy Kim already!

Don’t know what to do on the first sunday of the month? Well, there’s some good news for you: Brussels Vintage Market. Every first sunday a bunch of oldies but goodies are carefully put in place for you to shop them. Together with new and upcoming talents, the Halls of Saint-Géry is transformed into a vintage paradise, cupcakes and drinks included.

Didn’t find anything – even not that pair of Isabel Marant sneakers for only 150 euros!!! – but don’t want to go home just yet? Wander around Place Saint-Géry for a bit and then take place in Mappa Mundo and order a snack mix. You’ll get the yummy stuff above and feel like a people watching hipster, just like in Paris…
