Blog post material keeps piling on top of each other, over here at The Fashion Folio HQ… So here’s a recap of some bits and pieces of fashion I encountered lately…
Bloggers Closet Sale
Man, you all love bloggers and their clothes, don’t you…? Or maybe just the clothes ? Either way, I’d like to thank you for the massive turnout! Some of you were already politely waiting on the doorstep, eager to enter. Others came by in between shopping and champagne drinking in all the cool stores that were open for the very first Antwerp Fashion Night. Too bad I couldn’t really participate in the event but I sure had a blast in our lovely house, provided by Het Huis Happaert. Cupcakes have been eaten, Tao has been drunk and clothes have been sold. Ca-chiiingggg… THANK YOU ALL!
Bacardi turned 150 and that called for a party. But not just some party, what else did you expect? We were secretly invited to a speakeasy bar to experience cocktails like we never did before… By making them ourselves! We started off with the classic Mojito, which I already knew how to make, because of my bartending experience – cough, cough. Then we got to drink it up and continue with the next one: Blueberry Daiquiri… YUMZ! Very easy to make, all with the delicious taste of rum by Bacardi, of course. Last up was the Mai Tai, also very good, but not completely my kind of thing (the bartender on the other hand 8-)…)
Last but certainly not least: Destination Denim in Maasmechelen Village! You know I’m not the girl to wear jeans often… But I was triggered by the fact that Georgio Lironi, a denim expert, was going to be there. He told us all about denim and his relationship with it. I do find myself grasping for pants more often but I’m still not convinced. Georgio himself knows that finding your perfect fit is hard as hell. But I’m sure that one day, I’ll find my denim match! In the denim garage was also a pop-up store by Scotch&Soda and the fashionable Greek Spiros – awesome Kenzo hat included – who was present to put studds on your clothing or customize is as you wanted. The lovely staff of the Chic Outlet Shopping gave us a little something to shop and since I’m on a quest for the perfect fit, I thought I’d buy some sporting gear… because without the perfect body, I can’t find my perfect denim match !
