Do you love Amberes?

Antwerp, Amberes, Antwerpen, Anversa… Doesn’t matter which language you speak or where you’re from… you’ll definitely love this city. I got to knew it a bit more because of a friend, but I got inspired by this post to get myself a (fashion) guide and do a touristic tour. The city has more to offer than the everyday shopping street, the Meir. It’s just really nice to walk around the city, discover new streets, new shops, new bars… I love those moments, especially when they happen in the country you’ve lived in from the day you were born! Anyways, I prefer this city instead of Brussels… What about you?

    Ik hou van Antwerpen! Seriously, na er vier jaar gestudeerd en gewoond te hebben wil ik er niet meer weg (tenzij ik naar NY mag verhuizen, maar dat is een ander verhaal…) Antwerpen heeft inderdaad zoveel meer te bieden dan enkel en alleen de Meir, er zijn echt geweldige restaurantjes, koffiehuisjes en concept stores.!

    Amberes, ik dacht huh? In welke taal is dat? :) Ja antwerpen is geweldig, woon ook in Brussel en ja tuurlijk dat ik Antwerpen verkies om te shoppen, maar het is niet bij de deur :)

    Born in Antwerp, but haved lived in San Francisco and NY, I still prefer Amberes/Antwerp. NY’ers know Antwerp better for fashion than Brussels for its Manneke Pis. At least one jacket coming from The Big Six belongs to the wardrobe of any self respected fashionista! In a way people from Antwerp are very much like the people from Manhattan. Brussels is nice, but lacks a soul.
