Elle Parties, they’re something! Being double invited a week in advance with the dresscode Le Bling, C’est Chic sounds like a recipe for closet disaster. Knowing the late planner that is me, I started thinking about my blingaling outfit 3 hours before the party. Having worn every party dress in my closet and not really owning lots of bling, I was slightly panicking. But then all of a sudden, it hit me. Who is the perfect partner in crime when it comes to shiny, pretty things? Whose clothes do I often wear and above all: LOVE to wear…?

There could only be one 4 letter brand that could help me out here: FCUK! C’est not only très chic to wear French Connection, it also saved my Bling$bling ass. I tried a few dresses on and this is what I chose to wear! A beautiful embellished flare dress in this perfect shade of green that totally matched my ombre hair. A huge thanks to Miss A. again for being my savior in this last minute fashion drama

The pretty dress aside, I wasn’t alone at the party. Miss K and I were there to enjoy a delish walking dinner and a quick photo booth. But that’s not all, I had yet another partner in crime: the pretty red Nikon 1! Totally awesome of the Nikon team to let me test out this thingy and I can’t wait to test it out some more, in broad daylight. As for darker places, with lots of different disco lights, this Nikon does the trick. As Laurein already mentioned, the grain is nowhere to be found and it’s quite good for party pics!
